On a happier note

I love this song right now

Describe the way you feel...

If life was a musical, and I had to sing a song to you, I'd sing this to you, my love...

If only I could tell you... whenever I look into you eyes, you make me wanna die, I'll never be good enough... for you...
You're the reason I wake every morning, but at the same time, being with you is rotting me from the inside and I wake up every day wanting to die...

I've been dreaming of us leaving

...everything and everyone we've ever known.
I've been thinking all these vision,
must be a sign, so hold on and don't let go

Something Different

So here's a few more awesome instrumental bands I found recently

This Will Destroy You - Burial On The Presidio Banks
This Will Destroy You - The Mighty Rio Grande
Explosions In The Sky - Snow And Lights
Explosions In The Sky - So Long, Lonesome

Mogwai - Auto Rock

Mogwai - I'm Jim Morrison I'm Dead

Mono - Burial At The Sea

Paper Canyon

I "discovered" this band, Codes In The Clouds, a little while ago.
Don't Go Awash In This Digital Landscape

It's quite different to most the bands on my ipod, mostly because it's instrumental. But that's the main thing I love about them, they can express themselves so awesomely through their music and don't need any vocals sound "finished". Something I've found many bands aren't capable of doing, especially to this extend, (classical music aside of course).
We Anchor In Hope

It's got me onto a whole new "genre" I never knew existed... And that makes me happy :P

Now you stand reborn before us all

"And not to pull your halo down
Around your neck and tug you to the ground
But I'm more than just a little curious
How you're planning to go about
Making your amends to the dead
To the dead

With your halo slipping down
Your halo slipping
Your halo slipping down

Your halo slipping down to choke you now"

A Perfect Circle - The Noose (2003)

"Party til you passout, drink til you're dead...

Dance all night til you can't feel your legs!"

Went to the Bring Me The Horizon concert a while ago and they were AMAZING!!!!
Seriously it was awesome. Had seated tickets, but during the second song BMTH played me and my sister jumped the barrier and ran for the pit :D

Monday, August 23, 2010

I may look happy, but honestly dear, the only way I'd really smile, is if you cut me ear to ear

Just realised that September is a week away, and I still don't have tickets for Bring Me The Horizons show on the 5th of September!!!!
I'm little bit freaking out cos I wanna go soooo bad.
I missed them last time they were here, cos I just started my (retarded) job, and didn't want to call in sick on my first week...
Can't sleep...Need tickets...

Now we're gonna be face to face, and I lay right down in my favourite place

A list of songs I'd love to cover

  • Imagine - John Lennon
  • Suicide is Painless - MASH theme
  • I Wanna Be Your Dog - Iggy and The Stooges
  • White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane
  • Times are a-changin - Bob Dylan
  • The End - The Doors
  • Sweet Dreams (Are made of this) - Eurythmics
  • Why Can't I Be You - The Cure
There's probably more songs that I missed, but yeah...That'll do....

Suicide is Painless - Covered songs, Part 4

I used to like MASH when I was about 9...Who knows, I thought it was good... It used to come on just after the after-school cartoons, so I'd watch it too... Can't say that I watch it any more... But nevertheless, another song I love

Original =  Johnny Mandel and Mike Altman, MASH theme (1970)

Cover = Marilyn Manson (Book of Shadows = Blair Witch 2 Soundtrack, 2000)

And just for lols
Cover = Stewie Griffin (stupid recording of the cli, but you get the picture, I forgot which ep this is from)

"A brave man once requested me
to answer questions that are key
'is it to be or not to be'
and I replied 'oh why ask me?'

'Cause suicide is painless
it brings on many changes
and I can take or leave it if I please.
...and you can do the same thing if you choose."

Satan's cheerleaders, bouncing pom poms

Latest Obsession

Rob Zombie - What? (2010)

"My human duplicators
with a prehistoric women
and Jack the Ripper said
What?

She married a monster
On the very last day
and then she turned around and said
What?"

In lust with this song

Enjoy that dead girls body

And another must-have album (based on my opinion and my collection)
Rob Zombie's Hellbilly Deluxe (13 Tales Of Cadaverous Cavorting Inside The Spookshow International) (1998)
I've been listening to Zombie a lot lately, since I got Hellbilly Deluxe 2 (also an awesome album), but this album is defiantly a must-have. Rob Zombie's music was the 'icebreaker' between me and my boyfriend (he was wearing a shirt with this album cover on it - there are reasons to why I bring up such trivial shite)
Return of The Phantom Stranger

Anyway, main point, this album rocks (I am so not good at doing this whole 'blog' thing, but it's mine so hmmmp, I'll do what I want)
Demonoid Phenomenon

Can't wait to see Mr. Zombie at next years Soundwave :)
Spookshow Baby

Go and call the Priest, so he can exorcise me

Another album I deem as a must have would be:
Murderdolls, Beyond The Valley Of The Murderdolls (2002).
I love this album, it was the first "Restricted" album I ever got, my mum had to buy it for me (I was 14) and it took a bit of convincing after she read the track list... Ha ha. Oh well, was well worth it, it's one of my favourite albums. And like every other one of my favourites, I can't choose a favourite track, so I'll give you:
The track that made me fall in love with the band...
Love At First Fright
And the track that if I had my way, would totally play at my wedding if I were to marry, but my boyfriend would NEVER allow (killjoy :P )
Die My Bride

They are such a fun horror/shock rock band, that too many people take seriously, their songs make me giggle and sometimes even lol while they sing about my favourite movies and all sorts of ridiculous things, but they always rock.
Hmmm, I can't stop myself, one more track, too awesome
She Was A Teenage Zombie

I'm sick in the head, in the head

Another album I'm looking forward to the release of would be Murderdolls new album, Woman and Child Last. I didn't think they'd get back together, but here they are again :) and hopefully their tour leads them to Australia.

Can't wait. Murderdolls are always good :P

Tracklisting:
1. The World According To Revenge
2. Chapel of Blood
3. Bored Til Death
4. Drug Me To Hell
5. Nowhere
6. Summertime Suicide
7. Death Valley Superstars
8. My Dark Place Alone
9. Blood-Stained Valentine
10. Pieces of You
11. Homicide Drive
12. Nothing's Gonna Be All Right
13. Rock N Roll is All I Got
14. Whatever You Got, I'm Against IT
15. Hello, Goodbye, Die

I'm ready for my sun, I'm ready for my sun to set.

Playlist of depressing music for the depressed...

  • Don't Speak - No Doubt
  • Stirb Nicht Vor Mir/Don't Die Before I Do - Rammstein
  • Angie - The Rolling Stones

Yeah, I know, some of them are questionable, but I am a questionable person, with questionable taste.

My CD collection Updated

Every Second, Every Minute, Every Hour, Every Day. It Never Ends, It Never Ends.

I've just heard Bring Me The Horizons latest song, It Never Ends, from their upcoming album, There Is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret.
I wasn't sure of it at first listen, but I've listened to it a few times already and it sure is good to hear Oli's voice 'singing' a new song. I've been looking forward to the release of this album (4th October 2010), purely out of curiosity, but I think, just from this track, I may be pleasantly surprised.
The track listening for said album is as follows:
1. Crucify Me (featuring Lights)
2. Anthem
3. It Never Ends
4. Fuck (featuring Josh Franceschi of You Me at Six)
5. Don't Go (featuring Lights)
6. Home Sweet Hole
7. Alligator Blood
8. Visions
9. Blacklist
10. Memorial
11. Blessed With a Curse
12. The Fox and the Wolf" (featuring Josh Scogin of The Chariot)

my CD collection updated

Oh, give me a reason to be beautiful...

*Classic Albums (by my definition) = "Must-have" albums I deem as awesome, from my collection that I can listen to from start to finish, and don't mind them being on repeat.

This Album, Celebrity Skin by Hole, is one that I love and listen to quite a lot. I know lots of people don't like Courtney Love or Hole, but this album is a master piece in it's on right. The fact that no one really thought Love would make any thing credible or noteworthy makes it even better. I know she hasn't got the 'best' voice, but it's one that I wish I had.
It's hard to pick a favourite song (as with all my favourite albums) but I love the song Dying sooo much. It's beautiful, means a lot to me...
This is such a good album, I love it so much.

He's the one that makes ya feel alright

This is the first post of yet another multi-post-list type thing.
*Classic Albums (by my definition) = "Must-have" albums I deem as awesome, from my collection that I can listen to from start to finish, and don't mind them being on repeat.

I'm gonna start with Mötley Crüe's 1989 album, Dr. Feelgood.
The Crüe at their finest (my opinion only by the way)
I love Mötley Crüe. I love this album. I love every song on this album, it's pretty much impossible to pick a favourite. I love the art work, it's one of my favourite album covers. In my opinion this is THE best party album, it just oozes sex, drugs and rock n roll.
If you want one Crüe album, this one is the one I recommend. I think I'd even go as far as to say it would be somewhere in my top ten essential-must-have albums. There's always a situation that calls for Mötley Crüe, especially Dr. Feelgood.
Damn, I love these guys :P

Cherry Bomb - Covered songs, Part 3

I watched The Runaways the other day, I didn't think this movie would be any good, until I watched it ... I actually really liked it. Which is where covered song number three comes in, I've had this song in my head all day

The original: The Runaways (1977)

The cover: The cast of The Runaways movie (2010)

Hurt - Awesome Covered Songs

I was going to put this song up today anyway, because this is a very awesome song...
And then I found this cover...
And now, I am officially in love this song...

The Original - Nine Inch Nails (1994)

The Cover - Johnny Cash (2002)

"What have I become?

My sweetest friend
Everyone I know
Goes away in the end

You could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt
If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way"

You make everything....groovy

I've found lots of "new" favourite bands lately, such as this 60's rock band from Southern England,
originally called The Troglodytes:
THE TROGGS

Love is all around

Wild Thing

With a girl like you

I can't control myself

It's just a case of flash delirium

I got MGMT's new album Congratulations. And it is AWESOME! Another album that I have fallen completely in love with. The tracks Brian Eno, Flash Delirium and Someone's missing are....awesome....I think I need a new word, or two...

A heart that hurts, is a heart that works

Cast your mind back to the days, when I pretend' I was OK.

I had so very much to say, about my crazy livin'.

Now that I've stared into the void, so many people, I've annoyed.

I have to find a middle way, a better way of livin'.
